Below is a list of designs that i created and tested by building. They come in different formats - some Eurorack, others of my proprietary formats like Foxystem or CrapRack. Most will run off standard +/-12V bipolar power.
By interacting with my designs (accessing, building, modifying, etc) you confirm that you did read the copyright info & tech disclaimer! Take all the outlined precautions and be careful! f you are a SDIY newcomer, check out articles over at the stuff tab - you may find something useful.
The designs are grouped into lists by their main intended function. Keep in mind that in modular one device can often do a whole bunch of different things outside of its main usage. For example, a wavefolder can be used to make complex CVs out of simpler ones, or a step sequencer clocked at audio rate can be a wavetable generator. So, don't limit yourself to what i think it mostly does, and use it the way you see it. Have fun!

Prefixes
Prefix | Name | Status | About |
---|---|---|---|
SFP | Synthfox Paperface | Active | Started in 2018 to force-educate myself in electronics for sound, and the root cause for this website. Is eurorack |
CRP | CrapRack | Finished | A custom format - part of the self-made, now-discontinued youtube show. It was not very well thought out, but it has bananas! |
FOX | Foxystem | Hiatus | A brave attempt to redesign CrapRack and make it a more DIY-friendly and figured-out format. It somewhat worked, but i moved on |
FUN | Function-Unit | Planned | This format has been in development for a couple years now, and i hope to start making first units soon! |
Build hardness levels
Level | Description |
---|---|
Beginner | For people who successfully built a couple atari punk consoles and want to start modular. Linear PSU with short-circuit protection recommended! |
Easy | Simple and happy builds, but not exactly 2+2 anymore. Should be possible to build out of essential parts list stuff |
Medium | Fits those fully comfortable with soldering, wiring, and reading simpler schematics. May require more tedious work and precision |
Hard | For patient and experienced builders with experience in debugging their builds. Solid part count and long build time guaranteed |
Insane | I felt moral and physical pain while building these, but they're so much fun. Your level of insanity should match. Proceed with caution |
Download types
Name | Contents |
---|---|
Falstad | I simulated some of the module's aspects in falstad, and decided to include the simfile for you to play with |
Info | Includes some information on the module; falstad simfile, articles or text files related to special building procedures, and so on |
Build | Fullest download type, making building the thing a color-by-number. Contains DIYLC layout files and renders + potentially some other stuff |

Dubious modules
As a separate block, here are some bad modules that i made. They didn't prove themselves way too effective, or they behave weirdly and may need fixes and additions to their schematics, or just have to be rebuilt. I do not recommend you to build them, but you can take a look at my ideas and, maybe, find something for your ideas to start off from. These are kept here for archival purpose.
