• DIYLC - a tool for creating/viewing *.diy veroboard layouts. Works on actual computers, needs java to run.
• Falstad is a free, in-browser circuit simulation. It has all the generic parts (passives, semiconductors, op-amps, eletromechanical) and even a crappy sound output! It's good for testing some basic things out.
• SDIY wiki - a huge resource with a lot of links to smaller SDIY websites, book titles, etc, etc.
• Logic Noise - a series of articles by Eliott Williams on extra-simple, lunetta-style CD40XX logic series audio fun. Recommended to read from the first (oldest, furthest in the list) article!
